I’m very disappointed to report that I have fallen off of the healthy lifestyle wagon and have resumed past eating mistakes. I’ve been avoiding the scale (and looking at myself in a full length mirror) for the past month. Well I put my big girl panties on and stepped on the machine from hell (aka: my scale) and it’s official, I’ve gained back the 10lbs I shedded before.
*insert sobs and various remarks of self loathing and disapproval here*
Ok now that I’ve gotten my keyboard tear soaked. I can explain my disappointment, it took me nearly EIGHT WEEKS and a lot of hard work to lose that weight and here I am back at square one.
Fortunately, there is an upside. What’s that you ask? Well the beauty is that I’m human and I can get refocused and begin working hard(er). My plan of action:
*Count my caloric intake.
*Practice portion control
*Spare moment? GET MOVING!!!
I’ll keep you all updated on my progress. 🙂
I recently received my Paradise Vox Box from Influenster and absolutely have fallen in love with the Olay Fresh Effects facial cleanser that was sent to me to try. I have naturally oily skin and since using this product for the past two weeks my skin is less shiny, oily and has dramatically cleared up.
I also love the way it smells and how it feels on my skin. Also, I have to add that it doesn’t leave my face feeling dried out like other cleansers that I have tried. I can’t recommend this product enough if you have oily skin. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! If you would like to find out how you can join Influenster, feel free to email me and I will send you an invitation.
It feels as if it has been forever since I’ve blogged. I’ve been super busy getting my home cleaned up and clutter free for fall. I’ve also been working with my daughter on learning basic preschool skills. The attached picture is week ones activities.
Not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but I love to crochet. I have an order for some Minion hats for Halloween. I’ll be posting those when they’re done. Thank you for reading!!!
I cannot remember how old I was exactly when I started going to doctors appointments with my Mom and Grandma, I knew something wasn’t quite right because up to then they didn’t really have the worlds greatest relationship. I remember though, that they told me my Grandmother had Ovarian Cancer. I would accompany her to chemo treatments and it didn’t hit me the seriousness of her condition until she began to lose her hair and weight. She fought long and hard until she was just too tired to. She quit doing chemo and it seems like only yesterday they were putting a hospital bed in her house and teaching all of the my aunts how to do her shots and IVs. You know , I wish I could say that she went into full remission and made a miraculous recovery but she didn’t. We lost my Grandma to cancer when I was 14.
There are a lot of different ways you can support the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. There are many online shops that donate a percentage of sales to the OCNA.
You can visit Belabumbum, Bravelets, Causekeepers and the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.
All of these shops have beautiful items that help spread awareness. Check em out!!
Today is Wear Teal day!!! Get yourself all done up in teal and post your pictures to Google +, Facebook and Twitter . Use the hashtag #wearteal, later in September they will be compiling submitted pictures. Show your support and help raise awareness!!!
Having a great support team was really important for my family when my Grandmother was battling Ovarian Cancer and even so when she lost that battle. If you or someone you know is fighting Ovarian Cancer (or if you would just like to get informed and involved). You can connect with the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance on multiple social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.
